The UBC.ca web site is meant to be an introduction to the University of British Columbia, as well as a starting point for locating other UBC web-based information. The top-level site is maintained by the Web Communications team within UBC Public Affairs, which resides within the portfolio of the Vice President, External, Legal and Community Relations. Additional operational support is provided by UBC Information Technology.
UBC has maintained a web presence since 1994 (visit the Wayback Machine web site for a look at earlier incarnations of UBC.ca). In addition, the university is a founding member institution in BCNET, British Columbia's main connection to CANARIE and CA*net3 (the Canadian national network) and the worldwide Internet.
We hope that you will find the UBC.ca site to be useful and engaging. If you experience any problems while using the site, please let us know.
